David, yes, its light and fast. No tabs, no extensions. If in youtube it creeps up of course.

What about ad blocking?
Edit: Never mind, I guess through host files.

The honourable mathematician, professor Julius Bacon. Are you doing a Phd in columns? Looks properly good, and thanks for the hard work +1.

Thanks for the research, bacon. Really interesting. Made want to test some browsers. uzbl is amazingly smooth for video streaming. Next stop netsurf. It's supposed to work in the framebuffer.

^ I didn't use it for even a minute. It never worked. I just grabbed the memory size and killed the pid.

Guys, thanks for posting comments about uzbl. I won't waste my time. Midori's turn next. Low memory usage on Arch and Gentoo.

Looks like I need to run away from my go to Iceweasel. I haven't had a whole lot of luck with Netsurf, but maybe I'm not doing it right. Thanks for the excellent breakdown, Machinebacon!
Sir! Put down the hammer and slowly step away from the computer.

Hi Julius have you tried Palemoon? I use it on my updated Popcornlite seems to work better than the latest Weasel.

^ no, for the comparison I could have gone into more detail but didn't see much advantage of doing so:
- Firefox
- Firefox Beta
- Firefox Aurora
- Chromium
- Chrome Beta
- Chrome Unstable
- Kazehakase
- Galeon
- Chimera
- retawq
...
Also simply too much work. I usually use links in TTY, and Chrome in X, you can imagine how dirty I felt after I had installed all this bloated webkit crap :) To some extent, sometimes even links is too bloated for me - wikipedia pages and other "reading" material I fetch with html2text, news with nrss or gnus. Only when I post here on the BBQ I switch on the big browser.

For sure different use cases for active or passive browsing. And I completely undetstand that dirty WebKit feeling. Vimb and surf have not disappointed though. I can't remember the last time I opened iceweasel.
Generally speaking, to give MB some backing, there are for sure a shit ton of browsers, and many not covered. If you feel the need, put in the effort. We are all listening.

Pale Moon just behaves like an older Firefox. Nothing special in the end. I already tried it. Won't make cool graphs, Bacon already did it. :)
