Good morning grillers,
I was supposed to do something in the garden.
Mowing the lawm, and planting some potatoes.
I think this is not gonna happen...

look at that spacious Dutch garden. here in HK we don't even teach the kids the word "garden", because they have no clue what that is.

^^^ Nomnom it was overhere 2 degrees celsius.

^^ Thanks Franksinistra, it's a nice place to live (if you like it quiet). Except those noisy pheasants..

^ Rhowaldt for Dutch standards it spacious (the backyard is 330 square meters).
It's a pity that in HK the kids don't know what a garden is. It's not only a place to play at, but there is so much they can learn. Back in the day my kids wanted to 'help' and learned that carrots didn't grow on trees :)
When I look outside the frontwindow this is how it looks like.

Actually it is but not at the end of April. :D

Yesterday I went for a smoke on the balcony and it looked like February. I had no drink. -2 °C. Fuck, that is why I want to be on some of those pics of Wux.

I wouldn't be able to do mid summer.
it is biting in UK too, bit of snow but not enough to stick, like Theo.

An old UK saying, pertaining to weather:
"Ne'er cast a doubt until May is out"
Or like we say in Spain: "Hasta el 40 de mayo no te quites el sayo". More or less it means "Until may 40th don't get you raincoat off".

I heard that the rain in Spain falls mainly on the plains. ;)

Here in western Oregon, March really "came in like a lion and went out like a lamb." April has been a mix. Had some nice 70-80°F days last week, now back to normal April weather: 50-60°F with scattered showers.

in HK people have no such saying, you simply sweat your ass off for 3/4 of the year ;)

The high is usually between 31C/88F - 37C/99F degrees everyday here in Bali with humidity from 70% to 100%. On a cold day it will only get up to 29C/84F. I don't use air conditioning because I'm used to the climate now.

Right now it's:

Code: Select all

stan@darkstar:~$ inxi -xxW Denpasar,Bali
Weather: Conditions: 86 F (30 C) - Partly Cloudy Wind: From the SSE at 12 MPH Humidity: 74%
Pressure: 29.77 in (1008 mb) Time: April 29, 5:34 PM WITA

Sam Adams goes for about $7 a six pack in the South. Everything is more expensive up North, lols. They now have a pretty wide variety of specialty brews, but I prefer the old faithful :)
My favorite I can't pronounce- or spell- I just know it when I see it and buy it for about $8-9 a six. It sounds like Hoegaarden (?) and it is tasty with that hint of citrus!
Are you headed back to your other home, machinebacon? Safe travels!
