Booze

If you like mixing, drop your recipes here. I need a bit of an inspiration - Cuba Libre is boring, and before I get another bottle of rum I rather listen to what my brothers at the BBQ recommend.

Things I've actually had:
White Russians are quite nice for an evening, Kahlua, vodka and milk, coffee based so keeps one up a bit.
bit like a cold russian coffee.
If you've rum left over, a Mojito is quite nice.
yeah, that's about it, otherwise you could start fiddling around with sugar rimmed glasses...

hey all

after lurking these last many years...
figured this was one topic i could actually add to

this is my drink of choice created by my old innkeep years ago
he christened it a dirty sock (you'll see why)

big vessel (like a big gulp cup)
ice
equal parts, (i prefer more tequila)
vodka, triple sec and good tequila (no worm in the bottom garbage)
grapefruit juice (not the sweet pink shit)
splash coke
for that dirty sock water colour

throw in lemon/lime hunks if your feeling fruity

cross between greyhound and a kamikaze?

repeat as necessary

cheers

Sysadmin day got a bit (belatedly) better:
IMAG1038.jpg
Had a former client say 'KTHNXBYE' in the nicest way...

Not my favourite bourbon, unfortunately... :( but - "Beggars can't be choosers."

For bourbon it's Maker's Mark for (expensive) me, then (normal price) Jim Beam, I like the peanutty taste with Jim Beam.
think I need some ice with it, reviews suggesting (real) orange juice.
Personally, if you have to add something (other than ice or a splash of water) to 'nice' (expensive) booze, then it's not really much point getting the nice stuff.

What a nice client ;) Can't believe you say this stuff (I never had it) is worse than Jim Beam (had it and regretted every time haha)

hang on - they said it was 'bourbon' but reading the label, it's plainly whiskey, well ok.
So as far as 'whiskeys' go it's ok.
