DJ's Intro to the BBQ
Hello all! Pidsley twisted my arm and told me that I had to come hang out with you guys. I think I already recognize 1/2 of the members here, and I will admit that I consider it some of the finest company in the GNU/Linux world.
For those whom I've yet to meet, I'm an electronic engineer. I tend to spend 95%+ at the command-line, or some interactive shell (most recently Scheme via GNU Guile thanks to an unnamed member of this board who assumed that I would derive joy in consuming gallons of espresso and trying to manipulate parenthesis into art...and I cannot thank him enough for that.) :D
I believe that a WM should get out of my way and allow me to work. I would prefer a highly-featured terminal multiplexer and text editor to a highly graphical DE every time. I believe the most effective tools are generally ones that have mastered functionality over looking shiny. I believe that the true power to FOSS lies in the fact that you aren't forced into ignorance, and should keep your end of the bargain by trying to educate yourself on the tools in your kit.
Beyond that, I believe in long-winded rambling about Utilitarian Bleeding-Edge Computing for the sake of being an Astronaut of Data. A calm sea never made a skillful sailor.

All statements are true in some sense, false in some sense, meaningless in some sense, true and false in some sense, true and meaningless in some sense, false and meaningless in some sense, and true and false and meaningless in some sense.

Yo Joe. Welcome aboard. Last night a DJ saved my life.
I know that you believe you understand what you think I said,
but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.
