saw Tina Fey and Amy Poehler's "Sisters halfway on the plane to, and the other half on the plane out of, Korea. enjoyed it, it was a fun watch and it is good to see comedy that is from a slightly different (female) point of view.

Quick Change
Shame this is the only Murray's direction to date. Not that I particularly loved this film, but there is good in it. Only that Randy Quaid ruins it with his annoying overacting.

Kajaki/Kilo Two Bravo
Watched this on netflix yesterday. Easily one of the best movie I've ever seen. Grim, gritty and funny as hell. Although it's kinda hard to understand the dialogues without the subtitles (I know, I barely understand normal English).

Next week I will go for a movie ride. Here where I live they organize the 50th International Film Festival. It is the second most important in the German-speaking area, just after the Berlinale. 5 important directors will come instead of only one and of course always with Wim Wenders. It will be the whole week so I will be AFK pretty much from Tuesday to Sunday and going to the after show parties and film presentations.

If I have time I will report back because I know Gekko loves movie festivals. :)

There will be 120 movies in two cinemas. From short movies and documentaries to feature films. My better half and I can probably only pay for five but that is already a lot in one week.
Most if not all of the movies will premiere and some are retrospectives because of the jubilee.

I've been so busy with work lately I had little time for films. And that's too bad. I'll just say that Cheadle's Miles Ahead is horrible and Johnnie To's Three is great.

The opening was just in my neighborhood, 5 minutes from our home.

We were lucky, we have the tickets for the movies we wanted to see. Almost no sleep, no time and a ton of things here because of the jubilee and we have yet to see a movie. :D The screenings for us are beginning tomorrow for the whole weekend! This morning we will go to a presentation of some of the directors talking about the history of the festival. Doris Dörrie and Werner Herzog are among the speakers if you happen to know them, some of German's well known directors that already screened some of their first movies in Hof.
This night we will go to the after screen party, again in the hall you see in the Youtube video.
