Movies, Flicks, Films, Videos, cinematography
OK so it's a grand title.
but - I know you guys like movies... so -
I just finished watching The Machinist really good, i think Rhow may have suggested - and i have wanted to watch this film since i saw Bale in 'American Psycho' (a good book, as is Gliteratti by brett easton ellis)
also i have been awake since 8pm GMT yesterday, so i can mildly relate to his unsleep - though nothing else.
aand I dunno why, maybe it's his starkly - getting to the point, with a light delivery, and dashing good looks, but I relate dkeg to Bale, as a person - if that makes any sense. (not in the pshycho nut job way, obviously)
i have drunk some beers so it maybe just fandom in general 8)
anyways - post your films!

Re: Movies, Flicks, Films, Videos, cinematography
If I watch movies, they tend to be low-budget or independently made ones. I did check out The Theatre Bizarre recently, and it was enjoyable. I honestly don't watch movies very often any more. When I was younger, I had a roommate who was an indie film maker. I really grew to enjoy some of his tastes in movies (which he would go on and on about while drunk.) Still, watching those guys throw together a film in 48 hours was a real treat, and I grew an appreciation for "We've got $150 to make this film....let's do it." Some of the most creative ideas seem to come from those kinds of restraints.
Re: Movies, Flicks, Films, Videos, cinematography
thanks for the thread wux, why didn't i start this one before? oh well... yeah The Machinist is awesome. Christian Bale went on a professional hungerstrike for that movie, and even when doctors were telling him 'dude, please stop, this shit is getting seriously unhealthy', he was all like 'fuck you. i am not satisfied yet!' and went on getting skinnier than ever... only to play Batman in his next movie, which required him to gain a whole bunch of weight and muscle... dafuq man, respect for that guy.
me and my GF recently watched Free Willy again. it is still awesome.
also, the documentary 'Searching for Sugar Man' is well worth a watch.

^ i like your new signature wux :)
i have mentioned this shit before, but we'll do it here again for good measure:
my two favorite movies (amongst many others):
- Natural Born Killers
- Apocalypse Now
both of them are like acidtrips in movie-format, and if you are the unfortunate soul who hasn't seen them, please do. smoke some weed if you enjoy that, or whatever you want. maybe you'll hate them, but then you can at least tell people you've seen them :D

I'm following here http://www.imdb.com/genre/film_noir to watch new noirs. I love this genre!

I killed a man 'cause he killed my goat
I put my hands around his throat
He tried to reason with the sky and the clouds
But it didn't matter, 'cause they can't hear a sound

@Chili: Did you like "Pi"? I thought that one was pretty decent.
Also "Beyond the Black Rainbow" is worth checking out. It's like the 1970's imagined what the 1980's would look like...but as an art piece.

I love Pi (I'll even just run it in the background sometimes for ambiance).
Beyond the Black Rainbow looks right up my alley! I'm gonna check it out.
