We should, you are correct. Even something seemingly small like holding doors open for others.

Work hard; Complain less

This dude here is great.

A little backstory on the next one, Allison McWeeny was picked to be one of the top women's competitors in women's powerlifting. Then, in a pretty brutal boating accident, she lost her leg.

Here's her return at NOTLD (Night of the Living Deadlifts...a deadlift only competition). Not going to lie, I teared up when I first saw her do this.

^ The guy makes a good friend, I am sure. Can't imagine he has a bad temper :)

Allison has some serious muscle on her legs to lift that up, wow.

It may be hard to tell from the video's angle, but it's "leg" not "legs". She only has one left.

I would have gone off on the guy in the restaurant as well, probably with way more hostility than any of those people exhibited.

^ oh of course, not plural - slipped off the keyboard as usually :) But you got my point. Lifting nearly 200 lbs, most two-legged men already fail at less. Haven't tried it though :D

Actually, after seeing her do it, I had to see what #175 felt like on one leg. I struggled with the balance, and it was difficult. I pull over #500 any day of the week with both legs. Massive respect for her having the courage to show up and show everyone that she wasn't a quitter.

I think i would be arrested for aggression, my really thin rage control for those thing, will disintegrate in a millisecond i will became a beast.I came almost out of mind watching for 1 minute... geesh for real, if i were there,
no matter who is the harrasser, young old woman men, i would with a lot pleasure literally kick them out of that shop.
And i've not anyone with handicap (to me down syndrome is not an handicap, but is considered as) in family, as a lot of people that react on that video,

And for sure i'm not so polite in reaction...

I put my hands around his throat
He tried to reason with the sky and the clouds
But it didn't matter, 'cause they can't hear a sound

2013-october-26 "Busdriver saves disabled man's life at railroad crossing"

Busdriver Harry Franks saved the life of a disabled man who's wheelchair got stuck a railroad crossing in Velp, Netherlands. As Franks passed the railroad crossing and saw the man, he immediately stopped the bus and tried to get the stuck wheelchair loose. This turned out to be hard. The man in the wheelchair made spastic movements and could not talk. Seconds before a train passed, Franks was able to free the wheelchair and push it off the crossing.

A spokesman for the bus company Connexxion calls bus driver Franken "a true hero". "The disabled man has escaped a certain death". According to Franks, there were plenty of bystanders, but no one helped. "I needed help to get the wheelchair rolling, I waved my arms at passing car drivers, but no one even stopped". The only help he got was from one bus passenger who guarded the cash in the bus.

After the rescue Franken called the emergency services and hand the case over. "Why? Because I had to pick up my service, my shift wasn't over yet". His employer is planning to honour Franken next week.

I was a sad panda when they did that flashmob as I walked in when they were halfway through.

A friend of mine who's works with the orchestra had told me when it was going to happen, so I slipped out of the office early, but alas...
