Re: BOOK! (Hardcopy edition)
I recently finished The Abominable by Dan Simmons. Besides it being an excellent novel with engaging characters, I learned more about mountain and rock climbing than I ever imagined I would.
Now, I have started Doctor Sleep by Stephen King.

Essay on the 'other music'. Basically everything that it is not rock, pop and electronic music. Also it explores how often so-called experts, without doing proper research, misunderstood traditional music and live registrations.

Re: BOOK! (Hardcopy edition)
It is after 100 years, so I got some book about the "Great War".
Re: BOOK! (Hardcopy edition)
I already brought it back to the library. It is plagued by the horrible "Italian academic" writing style: huge paragraphs with no full stops for more than five lines. Only a mess of commas and parenthesis. I'll never understand why Italians do it this way. We even have an awesome Italo Calvino's book explaining how to keep it simple and why the simpler the better. I guess nobody read it.GekkoP wrote:Essay on the 'other music'. Basically everything that it is not rock, pop and electronic music. ^ you're welcome. I read another Gioia's book years ago, also very good: The Imperfect Art. It is a superb essay on music and especially jazz.
