I finally got around to read the second volume of On Calculation Of Volume by Solvej Balle this summer. And are looking forward to the rest. For me this is very disturbing existential stuff, and at the same time very easy to read. Almost light in it´s approach to language.

In this second book the main character travels around Europe in search of the four seasons, reliving the same day, the 18th of November every day.

^ I send the first volume to my sister as a birthday present. Your fault. ;) She read it in three days and is waiting to be able to continue. She worked in a literature club or association.

^ Contents are fascinating, but the writing style is borderline obnoxious. I'll see if I can keep up, but it won't be easy.

^^^Sounds very interesting.

I have read "Fontamara" a long time ago, so do not remember much of it anymore. :)

If you like fantasy, or want to give a gift of good fantasy books to some youth or young adult "The Raven Rings" by Siri Pettersen are a very good choice. Could be a great TV series if done right. Even if it is written for a young audience in mind I had a great entertaining pleasure reading it.

Forgot to update here in a while, but I was busy with Tadié's biography on Proust. I picked up a novel for a break:

^ Cool. I never read it but I have the series somewhere. I think it is Fassbender.

^ Yep, Fassbender did work on this material. So far it's a crazy book, somewhere between Joyce and Kafka.
