Sister' site

Unread post by wuxmedia » Tue Nov 26, 2013 11:10 am

Hi, this is my half-sisters new venture.

***I DIDN'T HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH IT***

Please be aware it eats bandwidth like mo'fo'
can you guys tell me if it scrolls down or not?

chrominum on my main desktop and android chrome on my tablette, all display a static image of the top half of the page.
I'd like some back up before I tell her.
works fine on iPad, iPhone and Chrome etc on windows, so she probably won't care.
I'm glad I didn't get into web design seeing this site - I mean it looks like the menu and it is 2013 but...

Ja Wux, it scrolls down, but the little "clickables" at the top (which are translucent) move down the page with it and take up about 1/4 of the vertical reading space.

scrolls here (FF on Win7) but agree with DJ that shit is annoying and should be just static if you ask me.
btw, i think the site looks good :)

just tested on my phone, HTC One with Android 4.3 and Chrome browser, and works fine too.

Everything's fine on Elektra+Iceweasel+Vimperator. Looks good to me.

It scrolls on Xombrero on *nix, Safari on OSX, iOS and Android.
Honestly, I'd rather not see text overlapping text. Also, the featured photos (both her shoplot and flatbread) aren't very flattering.

Everything fine here, Chromium. Doesn't look bad, lacks a carousel.

They want to edit the <title>Full Page IFrame</title>

Not every browser handles Iframes well, haven't tried CLI browsers or dillo yet.

thanks for the feedback, once again. I DIDNT MAKE IT.
Ok, I see the anchors move the page down.
still doesn't scroll at will. no mouse wheel, no keyboard, if I select the text it moves with the text highlight.

yeah noticed the <title> was not set, no favicon either...

works better in links2 actually, at least the designers used <li> for the menu.

OK I'll just tell her it looks nice.
cheers, free flat bread for anyone who knows me and pops in on the opening night, damn you all live on the other side of elsewhere. 8)

Norwich isn't that far actually and after looking at the menu i probably should invest in a plane ticket...

I tried with Chromium because the other browsers were tested already and it worked well. Tell whoever is responsible to remove the rolling pin pic. It looks fake and cheap.
