This is the hacker crashcart
https://ibb.co/cfeHpH
I wheel it around my room. It consists of two laptops named ranger and druid running BORK! and anorexia with full disk encryption and a combined 1.5 GB RAM between them. Each is impervious to meltdown/spectre and I rarely startx on them. Each has a shitty battery and can only be away from the wall for about 20 minutes which is great because it is an anti theft mechanism with the debianinstaller-style diskcrypt. Pictured here you also see my 2GB 86x Windows 7 machine and one of the Banana Pro SBCs in my fleet and a buckling spring keyboard. I just ordered 2x cheap micro atx cases and two 26” monitors so that I can use their mobo trays and mounts to being building my next desk which will have these inside them, totally DIY will post pictures. Oh and RC the lighthouse will be in the next picture-set muahaha

Re: show us your iron
My (WIP) computing room
The pi(s), the mini pcs, and the whole networking stuff (a mikrotik router and an ubiquiti AP) are on the back of the small cabinet.
Still need to do a lot of stuff like hiding those unruly cables, and a carpet
That's the main pc, the bonecaster machine.
I tried hard to make sure the cabinet aligns with that corsair case (48.5 cm / 19-ish inches).

Re: show us your iron
^ Hahaha they are the artists and my house is their canvas.
I'm a short person, and lightweight enough that sitting on a foldable chair, crosslegged, having a full sized ergo keyboard on my lap doesn't bother me. ;) I ought to buy a good wireless keyboard, that would have to wait.
The red light stuff is a voltage stabilizer, and a ups (green light) next to it.
The speaker is inside one of the cabinet, i like the muffled sound of it.
EDIT: this is the voltage stabilizer if you're curious

Frank's "computing room" looks almost as big as my entire apartment.
...and don't lie. We all know that red light's an alarm of some sort, probably connected to your dog in the meth lab.

^ Oh yeah, that's probably connected to a clandestine meth lab somewhere in the jungle. Nothing beats monged out orangutans on a sunny day. :P

Frank! Mikrotik is my favorite!
Keyboard is a model m from unicomp that bought the rights to get model m. Still make them with buckling springs but make sure you get a usb one!

New router arrived.
Installed and set up yesterday evening. Easy as cake, fast wi-fi as hell.

Cool. A Fritzbox is nice. I was not aware you have this in Italy. We use one, too.
Re: show us your iron

Re: show us your iron
I'll need to research this Fritz!Box thing. Thinking of upgrading routers in the near future. Don't know if I still want to faff about with Open-WRT/LEDE compatibility or try a Mikrotik or pay big for some Ubiquiti Unifi/Amplifi shit. How's FritzOS security/support track record?
