Re: /dev/null
It looks like the govt has been touching Reddit's no-no and issued a gag order a la Lavabit. This is why we have Warrant Canaries - we might have never known!

I'm getting sick and tired of these Stasi/KGB-ish moves by the American government. Unfortunately, I don't think whichever candidate that ends up as the scapegoat in the hot seat will be able to do anything about it.
Edit: sorry! Edited (twice) for clarification, I didn't mean for it to take a political spin. Perhaps more the nature of the beast that has been created, sort of like an out of control freight train.

Re: /dev/null
it's tricky that we talk so much about computer-related stuff, and that is exactly the stuff that is becoming more and more political. indeed, let's talk around it whenever possible, and not waste too many words on it. it is all bullshit anyway, there's way more fun stuff to talk about :)

^^ We have two gals on here!? That is awesome! I meet quite a few guys IRL who love Linux, but no FOSS-loving girls yet :(
