It is true. It is not a nice environment, literally, right now out there. It feels like a movie went real.

I will have to go to work as normally for now. Things will probably slow down in the near future. If this continues for a while longer, and the situation looks quite ugly, there will be temporary lay-offs too. My wife will work from home starting tomorrow though.

No signs of disease. yet. :)

I hope we can make arrangements for online courses. Anyway that might just be the future for all schools and unis right now.
If I my students can hop onto their computers I might be saved.

The weekend is finally here, and yesterday evening I were so tired that I felt sick. Bought some groceries on may home from work. At the supermarket it looked like people were expecting a zombie invasion or something. Ok, I bought a couple of packages extra of some different dinner alternatives. There were no bread. But I really just got normal stuff that I should have bought anyway. Who knows, if I end up in quarantine I still need to eat and take a crap. ;D

And I do have a colleague that are in quarantine, no signs of sickness as far as I know and he should probably sick by now if he had been infected. There is also a couple of simple measures at work. keep distance to people, no use of the lunch room etc. So just enjoy your weekend as best as you can. :)

Petrol is cheap now at least. Maybe I should buy a few drums. Sell molotovs at markup when the rioting starts.

^ Maybe they think they can do a Trump and build a wall with all that toilet paper to keep the virus out.

I wonder if they would pick a roll of toilet paper as the single item if they had to go to a deserted island too?

Finally we are also in state of emergency and the infections in our town are rising since yesterday exponentially. As of today or the weekend there is no tracing back possible anymore.

We have now 5 weeks of obligated vacation.

I seem to be lucky working from home normally.

London is apparently a bit of a ghost town.
Our other town has rationed stuff so they still had the stuff we wanted. Managed to get our normal supermarket delivery for SUNDAY - ordered on sunday...
Mother in law in France is saying she needs a downloaded form printed to be out and about in her petit village even to get to the shop over the road, which sounds like bullshit. but who knows these days.

^ We need that form printed here too. We can't even walk 10-fucking-minutes to the in-laws without it.

It is really fucked up. As of my writing we still can move here but I doubt it will be too long so I had a run as usual and wow, the lake was packed with people at a very late time on a Tuesday in the dark. Normally I am the only one in the middle in the week at that time, I mean you need a headtorch. Seems people think we are in holiday season.

Well some people have a hard time to grasp what this is about, and have a very egoistic ( denial?) way of living with it. This week my life continues as usual, and no need for "printed form". What is that about? Does it scare the virus off, or what is it good for?

One cool thing with this virus crap is that it has shown that there still is life here @LinuxBBQ :D

Being here with you guys also helps to endure this shitty situation locked at home. At least we all have internet. Apart from my better half I have not seen anybody else for weeks now and we won't for the next weeks, months or who knows. I do not really envy the people that have to go out for work but at least they can socialize.
