Well I envy you your energy, maybe it comes from the kids :D

Sunday morning, rain outside, coffee and bbq inside. Will make an effort to do a couple routine chores in the house today. Besides food that is. Al well I suppose, but yesterday I were overwhelmed by the feeling of "I do not want to work anymore". The worst of it has passed, so tomorrow morning I will get up and get going. :| Ok, new week, promise to not babble away too much, will save that for the weekend. Not much else fun to do in these times of covid.

Energy is the quantitative property that must be transferred to an object in order to perform work on, or to heat, the object.

I have a lot of the "do not want to work any more" feeling these days. Blah

Why do people never answer their phone in tv series and films, it is always something important and critical when they not pick up? Will they ever learn?

Every Android browser sucks. Do not even recommend Chrome with its add serving, it is an absolute no-go.

^ Don't personally use Android, but a lot of the "privacy and security" keyboard warriors recommend Bromite and Vanadium. May not be available on the Play Store though. Try F-Droid or apks from project website/github.

Personally don't think it's enough on mobile though, Maybe some custom AOSP build or GrapheneOS or /e/ or whatever might be adequate enough, but for Stock/OEM Android or iOS you will definitely need another layer at network level; like a pi-hole device or hosts file on your router with a VPN tunnelling back to your home when you're on cellular data, or a rented VPS running a docker instance of pi-hole or dnscrypt, or a commercial trusted provider with dns-level ad/tracker/malware blocking. That should be your first line of defence, with secure browser and content-blocking app on device as your secondary. Not perfect - true anonymity is impossible (even with Tor and whatever tulipcurrency is in vogue) - but you'll at least have some semblance of security and privacy.

I hate mobile in general but it is what it is. Most of the time I am staring at a laptop screen anyway and that is why it is so frustrating to use a phone when I have to.

I already heard about Bromite and I can remember Machinebacon recommending me Kiwi Browser. And I already tested Kiwi and so far it works better than anything else.
Also forget Firefox, new and old, it is shitty on Android and always was except the possibility of using uBlock.

Lol! took me a few seconds that one :D
Yeah I don't 'see' the ads anyway (just my human eye filter) would like to get a pi hole running here though, would help with the crappy bandwidth too.

So I need Sky to watch the Italian basketball team when they already got NBA? Just when I thought EuroSport was giving me all the basketball I need. Damn.

Note: I am happy with LBA and EuroLeague, especially because I have no time to follow NBA as well, but still, damn.

The political situation in one of the "greatest" nations in the world is really very scary at the moment.

Looks, eh looked good Wux.
We live in a mountainous region and no snow is kind of strange.

^ ah right I thought so. Turns out we are 300M above sea level, which for this part of France is pretty high. From where I used to live (~2M above sea level) it is the mountains :D

Still raining. The small lawn has turned into a possible rice field project.

Oh dear, what has become of me, yapping away about the bloody weather?!

Ok, just want to wish you all a new year, `21 this time. I do not mention ("happy") because it might turn out crappy! And then you could blame me for jinxin `21 for you all. :D

Anyway, still shitty rainy weather, they say it will get a little bit colder so hopefully it will get better. Unfortunately work Monday has appeared on my holiday horizon, and my need for restitution is far bigger than what I possibly can get during the next three days. So will lie to myself, and convince myself that it is ok, and after a couple of days at work I will have the adrenaline necessary flowing to get myself through the week. All right, just wanted to bitch a little bit. After all, there are millions of people far worse off in the world. :|

I mean, be a man, stand up, and take it like a bitch! :D

Pizza and beer to celebrate here. What more can I want?

Enjoy the end and the new beginning, people. Don't do crazy things. Or do them and rock on.
