^I blame my fling with Ubuntu GNOME for it. But I am on a sharp squared Openbox antidote diet at the moment. :)

Fq, page break! ;D

macos makes a fucking mockery of them rounded corners.
wasn't that once up on a time a bit of a joke on some WMs?
mac terminal is so anal it will not go 'full page' it will retain the nearest char (as in terminal chars) proportions, which.. on one hand I hate and one hand I sort of respect.

Asimov wrote:The saddest part of life right now is that science gathers knowledge faster than society gathers wisdom.
Think of when he wrote that. You could argue that modern “fingertip friendly” technology has simply widened that gap. Critical thinking is subliminally discouraged by social media algorithms. People are just manipulated into joining silos echoing their own opinions. Counter-arguments get erased by groupthink abuse a downvote button. Yadda, yadda.

Thanks for your write up GekkoP, good and interesting as always. And I do agree with your views on the modern society. In my very humble opinion, "the smartphone" should never have been invented, nor "social media". I do have both, yes, and I am ashamed of it. Because it steals attention from more important and interesting stuff in life. Ok, my use of both is very limited, but I am stuck in it nevertheless. And it probably is a great tool for big tech and others to shepherd the masses. Sorry for being so negative, sigh!

Writing about Blonde: https://manueluberti.eu/2023/09/17/marilyn-avatar.html

Not nearly enough, not nearly as much as what I wanted to say, but I don't know, it's a small piece that I kept re-writing over and over again just to say the same things so I had to push it out and just leave it there.

Yes, quite interesting now, after your very well worded write up GekkoP. But that came as no surprise, fascinating as always really.

I have to admit seeing this threw me back to my Windows 95/98 days and I had to give it a try. I remember an uncle of mine convinced that slamming hard on my keyboard was the right way to bump the pinball table. Silly man.

^ That was not one of the first games I played on a PC but the first one that came with Win 95 or 98 on our first "modern" home computer.

That reminded me of this version of Pinball from the 90s which can be played online or downloaded and run locally via dosbox.

All I really want to do for Christmas is to cozy up in the sofa and watch some absolutely nonsense tv. I know that it will not be so lazy days, but I hope for some at the least. Have hung up some seasonal decorative lights this morning. Now a cup of coffee as reward. Sigh. :|

Another week gone and done. Finally you arrive at the weekend, and you are just as gone and done as the week. I really look forward to the soon to be end of the year holidays.

Life is kind of a struggle at the moment, hope to do an update around New Year. :|

Is it me getting slower, or is the terminal getting faster? Probably the surrounding hardware and the velocity of the network. Upgraded actually the router a couple of weeks ago. But nowadays the text in the terminal during an update it just kind of flashes before my eyes. Maybe someone could upgrade me, or should that be downgrade me with a decade or two? ;D
