Scandal. While the dev team is working hard on the future BBQ releases, bitch Bacon plays baywatch.
That's the price of having a workshop 10 minutes away from the beach.

@bacon: was it Pamela Anderson, who took this majestic photo of you? baywatch .. :D

We just realized with two friends how much we suck at C++ :D We entered Ericsson's C++ competition as a team, and when we saw the questions of the first round, we spent 3 days crying in a corner... Then we got to it, and actually scored some points... We ended up at 48th place (of the 97, and the first 40 advance to the next round). It was cool and all, but damn, we have an infinite amount of room to improve.
Hooray for g++ though, I was the only one who could compile C++14 code right of the bat (not that it helped our case) :)

@machinebacon Looking nice! Was this a beach in So. China, or was the workshop you were attending in another SE Asian location? (I frankly expected Chinese beaches to possess less clean qualities.)

@wux: oh the jet skis, no, they are too 'wayland' for me - I did it the Xorg way and *swam* normally :D

@dr_c: it's in Beihai, also called 'Silver Beach' (opposed to Dongxing's 'Golden Beach'). Gulf of Tonkin. Not as polluted as one might expect. ;)

Installed jessie lxde/openbox to an old laptop today. Got wireless up and working, some basic configs of personal preference. What then...??? Got the brilliant idea to upgrade it to sid, just for fuqs sake. All went well...except that then I remembered my new years promise to stay stable and not fool around. It lasted two weeks! Damn, can I be forgiven, or at the least have a good spanking and start from scratch again?

Depends on how you look at things: SID = Stability In Debian.

See nothing to forgive!

vic, welcome back to the stable branch of Debian :) I always say: if you never update and upgrade, *all* distros are equally stable :D
