Dear newcomers,

we are very happy that you found your way to the grill. Feel free to introduce yourself in /dev/null and post your screenshots in /usr/bin/scrot. If you reach a certain post count, you will be able to access the Spice Rack (our developement and config section) where you can find ingredients to spice up your Linux system.

This is a countermeasure against help vampires and leeches. We hope you understand these (unfortunately) necessary steps that make the FOSS world go round.

By the way, if you have some configurations to share, you can request to join the team -- and if you are lucky (or talented), your configs or scripts might be included in future LinuxBBQ releases! :)

Happy browsing, posting, sharing, asking!

The LinuxBBQ Team

Some little changes:

- all accounts registered after 2015-01-01 with 0 posts have been deleted
- new registrations need authentication by email
- new ungooglable CAPTCHAs

The registrations are now enabled again for a test. I made sure that "real human" accounts were not flushed.

A note to all users: if you see spam or messages from "Newly Registered Users" that look 'strange', simply report the post or don't do anything -- thank you ;) Usually, our mods come online once a day and handle the matter swiftly ;) Whenever you respond, quote, refer to such a spam post we have to split off, move, delete posts - and that's really unnecessary :)

New little changes:

- newly registered users have only write access to the "General Chat/Introductions" forum, their account will be activated after posting an introduction
- this limitation is valid for the first three posts.
- it's our party, so if you don't agree to these rules you are always welcome to GTFO.
