fab work, thanks Starky!

Can anybody with access change the http://linuxbbq.org/wiki/index.php/Cwm article? cwm is in the repos, needs to be started as openbsd-cwm as binary. Also, a few notes about .cwmrc (maybe a snippet with menu) would be great. I think .calwm is obsolete in Debian (I might be wrong!)

Thank you!

I slapped a note in there about it, as there was already a note...and nested notes are cool. Links to the BBQ github .cwmrc files added, since I figure it's easier to lead the horse to water than to explain hydration.

Feel free to redo it if my method is not up to bbqwiki standards.

wux, can you awk the 'base' and 'kernel' and 'release date' columns on the main index.php? just asking because it's a bit wide for mobile view. OTOH, who cares. just thought it looks better :)

I'll have a look.
EDIT; I don't know how I can do that, yet - html tables aren't all that easily editable, it's do-able, bit beyond my ken.
on my mobile it'd have to be like 4 columns to get it to look the same width as the others.

@DJ: thanks! i incorporated your new note into the actual wording of the article, as i found it confusing to read about cwm being in the repost, and then read about it not being in the repos. i figured it was easier to just change what the actual article said :) - wording was beautiful though, so mostly retained that.

@stark: not sure about the note on the releases-page. if the current is already written by you then there is no change needed and you should work on your self-confidence. if you are still planning on writing a new one and have not worked on your self-confidence yet, i will be happy to review it once it is there. :)

The window manager reviews are all outdated. I think we should remove them from the wiki and link to source where necessary.

@wux Awesome work with the main page :)

@rho I have two ( annoying ) ideas for the main releases page. Either all the releases are sorted year wise ( the alphabet wise is ok too ) and adding the new ( and perhaps the other inactive ) releases to that page OR Make a inactive releases page and move all that stuff there then just link active and inactive releases on the main releases page ( I hope you're confused by now ;) And You're Right! I do need to work on my confidence ( but I don't know how I'm supposed to do it.)

My mistake, I was referring to this page: http://linuxbbq.org/wiki/index.php/Category:Releases

EDIT: I'm confused

Can anyone check the Active releases page for rectification ( specially the base, type, kernel version, init system and wms ) and fill in the gaps where necessary. I don't have all the releases, so I'm unsure to fill the gaps :)

Looks good, add 'Gravlax' (minimal, 4.0.0-1-586, WM is Larswm, release was 2015/05/17)
HipsterPlus has Emacs as WM :)
Init system is always sysvinit.
Academy is "Education" type. All other types are "minimal" :)

I would like to thank all those involved with Documentation for BBQ it is so easy to understand, well thought out and as a user I appreciate the effort and how up to date it is compared to some distros I have used.

So which Release(s) are considered inactive in this List:
http://linuxbbq.org/wiki/index.php/Active_Releases

Going the add the 5 new releases, so i'm guessing atleast emacspeak40 is going to replaced by the new one, any other names ?

Actually everything that is not in http://linuxbbq.org/bbs/viewforum.php?f=3 is inactive :)

The list won't change until December.

Thank you!

So stark seems to have relinquished his responsibility of active release maintainer, I can take up the role.
Would be preferable if there was a shorter list.
1) easy to maintain (active meaning active)
2) looks better on the home page (it's linked to the active rel page)
3) Specials like 'cream' and 'BORK!' should have their own sections.

@darry1966 if you see anything amiss, or want to add something, then let me know - I'll make you an account, I think the wiki is on admin created sign up or something otherwise it gets spamraped.
That goes for anybody really, anyone wanna help out?
