checked it again but the results are still the same. no idea why. could it have anything to do with Freenode Webchat perhaps? only thing i can think of...

Oh yes i did block webchat when we had a few trolls.

I will un-block the freenode webchat and hopefully we will have no more issues.

Titan, leave the damn webchat blocked. i've wised up and will simply use weechat to connect to irc now. thanks for looking into it, all works :)

I try to log in to #linuxbbq using the web interface and get a "Banned" message, no matter which nick I use. Tested #debian and it works.

Could we lift this restriction? Thanks

That is interesting. When I worked my old IT job, I would try to connect to #linuxbbq from webchat and would receive the exact same error of my IP being banned. It freaked me out a little bit until I realized it was the webchat. I wonder what the issue is.

I banned webchat some time ago, I did think abotu unblocking it but then we had more trolls.
If you would like it unblocked let me know.
