Those days rho has created a wikipedia article on LinuxBBQ, but now I just noticed there's also a Norse version :D Whoever is responsible for that: thanks! https://no.wikipedia.org/wiki/LinuxBBQ

I think we (somebody who has a lot of time, and that's not me!) should unbloat/edit/update the English one, using the "Propaganda" reviews as references or so.

Maybe this is an indication:
Denne siden ble sist endret 21. sep. 2016 kl. 04:57.
at the end of the page.

Is it ok if I edit and add this years RYO releases to the Norse article? "Greatest Hits", "Adipositas" and "Anorexia" as official releases with a short description.

Yeah sure, I'd even skip "Greatest Hits" because it's fucking Jessie and I hate it. Put a screenshot of Swikee there or whatever, something minimal without a damned bar and window decorations. I want the CLI juice dripping from all corners. :D Thanks vic!

Edit: actually, the reason for making LinuxBBQ was not systemd vs sysv, but to have a installable (and remixable) CLI version of sid. aptosid did not offer a non-DE installation media, siduction introduced their noX version around a half year later after us. And we do not offer different DE's (they all depend on some toolkit like gtk or qt), but WM's. You may want to edit this part. The latest working 64-bit release must be Cardboard. Oh and we use 586 for best compatibility, the user is free to install from a huge pool of kernels after installation.

Thanks, will whip something up and give a heads up here later. Give me a couple of days, not sure of how busy life will be the next few days. Well I am a bit slow so...:)

First listen to the sound of the whip: http://www.soundsnap.com/tags/whip :D Then visualize me clothed only in red hot plastic sandals and whipped cream. ::DD

Update done. Not much more text though, still quite minimalistic. But if someone reads it and get curious there is a link to the homepage so they can find out more. No image though, tried but were not allowed because of some licensing bs. :)

^ thank you.

Can you edit to use "to install Debian's unstable branch" in the "Distribusjonen oppstod på grunn av man ville kunne kjøre og installere et kommandolinjebasert grensesnitt." and then link the word kommandolinjebasert (or whatever lol) to the wiki page of Kommandolinje? You can link to Openbox, Fluxbox and Blackbox (even this page does not exist in wikipedia.no but it will create a new page that can be extended by someone sometime). Also remove Proof and Lacipecsenye (deleting does not make it disappear forever, they can still revert anytime). If you get stuck, ask or tell me I should do it myself ;)

Will have a look at it. Forgot to mention that the image I tried to upload were the scrot from the Swikee release announcement. Thought it looked really cool. Think I will give it another go. :)

Edit; Changed text, thanks for your instruction. The new Blackbox page consists of just a link to the English.

Edit#2; Put Swikee on usb with dd. Cooked up some cool terminal windows and took a scrot. No way! Not allowed to publish it. Got a message that said it has to be a photo from a camera. Since the camera on my phone suck hard I decided to let it go. :)

Made a blueprint of the Norwegian wikipage in Swedish. Looks a bit spartan I know... but hey, this is the bbq after all. :)

Oh by the way, they always want to have references (else they'll start discussing about wikipedia standards and shit), so place an occasional link to our wiki or the reviews -- not to forums posts, they will most probably be removed by some asshole admin there.

example keywords:
minimalist -> https://sourceforge.net/projects/linuxbbq/
sysvinit or init -> http://without-systemd.org/wiki/index.p ... tributions
Cream's 76 window managers -> https://kmandla.wordpress.com/2014/08/2 ... n-for-all/
simplicity -> http://linuxbbq.org/wiki/index.php/BBQ_Philosophy
window manager -> http://linuxbbq.org/wiki/index.php/Cate ... w_Managers

Will have a look at it next week, family time this weekend. Thanks for suggestions, were thinking about adding something about the bbq philosophy, since it is what unites us all here.
