Download Stats 2012-2013
The top 3 most downloaded flavours in the last 6 months are:
BBQ Boner/Virgin - Hits: 3244
BBQ Latex - Hits: 2322
BBQ Trollinger (in both architectures) - Hits: 1372
BBQ Cameltoe - Hits: 885
BBQ Proof - Hits: 404
Of course this doesn't mean that these are the numbers of finished downloads (certain download managers open parallel connections which cause more hits), but it's quite interesting to see that the userbase is indeed largely preferring to RYO (Roast Your Own). Also, the comparable high number of LaTex downloads shows that there's a number of people who prefer having an alternative to the commonly used Office Suites.
In March, the Chinese flavour 520 enjoyed quite a large number of downloads, even without advertising. I want to hereby greet 亲爱的中国朋友们,谢谢合作!一起加油!
So, thank you all for testing the flavours, and especially a warm greeting to the Crunchbang Forums that make up the largest direct referrer (after Google, of course) and all other people who have friendly feelings towards us :)
Let it be free!
Addendum:
The Top 5 visiting countries are:
1) USA
2) UK
3) China
4) Germany
5) Spain
Around 52% of our visitors are already using a Linux OS, 49% of the visiting browsers are Firefox/Iceweasel (its latest versions taking the lead in the last months) with over 10.000 unique visits (whatever it covers?!) per month. The busiest months were January and April 2013, the busiest days typically Fridays. The most visited page is the Wiki (thanks Rhowaldt and everybody else involved into it)
In January, the busiest month so far, there were 704 (!) ISOs downloaded: Trollinger, Proof and Elitist being the Top 3.

real cool to see this info collected here Julesy. it is always nice to see a project in numbers, and get a feel for how things are going and the ways in which people are enjoying the BBQ. thinking of making the jump from Boner to Trollinger myself :)
All statements are true in some sense, false in some sense, meaningless in some sense, true and false in some sense, true and meaningless in some sense, false and meaningless in some sense, and true and false and meaningless in some sense.

Cool stats! Latex ftw! Real men with beards that smoke pipes use it for their thesis.
