^ I was thinking the same thing, wux. Hell, I don't know hardly jack, and I can figure most things out, or at least RTFM. No wireless support? Clearly not familiar with ceni, I guess. And WTF is the bbqpacman shit?

Hahahhaha :D

There is no bbqpacman :D The guy has tested BBQlinux, not LinuxBBQ :D

The thing about the xorg.conf.d: there is no such file and folder, and anyone who runs LinuxBBQ now (OOTB) can test it :)
My other option is to install a display manager since it doesn't come with one. Likely mdm.
See? This is confusing bullshit because one can not simply install MDM (the MATE display manager) in LinuxBBQ without adding certain sources to the list, and no - the MATE repos don't have it. Something smells extremely fish-like here!

Hodgepodge in sources.list? There is surely no Jessie, but of course siduction, because LinuxBBQ is built on Siduction. The only (commented) line also described clearly: "uncomment this if you want to install MATE."
If I'm right and, according to this I easily could be: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php ... 9#p1031749 this has got to be the goofiest OS I've ever come across.
But you are wrong. Remember 'tacnayn' anybody? ;) In "Baby" we have 'pacman .... install Arch packages' as option too, try it :D lol
Sid current kernel (haven't update/upgraded to day yet could change) is linux-image-3.11-1-amd64_3.11.6-2_amd64.deb.
Yup, and ours is 3.12-1

Seems somebody is trying hard to find problems. The nvidia installer is found in "bbq" -> Fix your system -> Install nvidia for this and that card.

Code: Select all

Interesting. Must be something about 3.7 is just more stable with their system.
So to speak. It stays forever on the shipped kernel except the user decides to go 'rolling' with it. This is by design, and mentioned a dozen of times here on the forums.

Funny thing is that we have absolutely no strings attached with Archbang or Manjaro, anyway they are Arch-based systems and the only things I added to the BBQ are:
- YAD (testing version, from the author Victor Ananjevsky via slavino.sk)
- live-installer (SolusOS, from the author Ikey Doherty via git)
- siduction sources (from the maintainers)

Nothing else. Seriously.

@jules: that clears up a lot. was reading that thread and had multiple 'wtf are they talking about, i know the Q isn't noobish but it certainly isn't as broken as the guy makes it out to be'... he's an idiot, obviously. oh well, let 'em fuck around and get frustrated, hopefully they'll stay away :D

They are busy jerking each other off, just as we are busy jerking each other off. At least we have some kind of outcome at the end of the day :D

http://linuxiarze.pl/distro-linuxbbq/
cool, that is information. but a little untrue. the entire project, is tens distribution. something around 60 I do not know what the picture because I have not seen such a bbq. worth of interest.

I do not know too, whether they are distributions for beginners, because the little they have to bury (in fact, each is different, it is difficult to write something general). My favorites mate and Trollinger. but for example, are analogous to the two CrunchBang, only that the sid. I had some free equipment (a grown up already with the installation of four on a single computer), you will be happy zainstalowałbym Trollinger.
The screenshot indeed shows Pihtije (!), in version 0.01 :) Guess "zainstalowałbym" will be the release name for the Fluxbox edition :)

Not EXACTLY BBQ, but apparently, I got some props for x11-must-die from K. Mandla, who I have the utmost respect for.
http://inconsolation.wordpress.com/2013 ... mportance/
Which since I tend to only feature BBQ-releases and killx, it should count. ;)

You know I love LinuxBBQ, don't you? Well, if you still have any doubts here's my words on Coal: http://informatica.boccaperta.com/linux ... rofondire/

I'll write (I already did actually) about another one soon, so yeah, that's my love. :)
