Re: Propaganda
And the answer:Have you tried "LinuxBBQ", a Debian spin featuring multiple (if not ALL available) desktop environments and window managers?

Re: Propaganda
My review
Well, due to my endless love for Elektra I couldn't resit writing about it. It's in Italian, and my usual readers know little about Linux and all this CLI greatness. I'm planning to write more about LinuxBBQ, because I'm just in love like that. :)

Re: Propaganda
^^ Nice review Gek. I almost expected a "the guys at the BBQ keep yelling at me about trying to auto-mount drives, they mock my RAM usage, they tell me to read all sorts of documentation..." etc. I found it to be a overwhelmingly positive review, and links to the "about" are always a good idea, lest someone mistake this place for "user-friendly." ;)

Re: Propaganda
Thanks. I linked "about" because I'm used to people coming here and telling me "what?! linux is hard, haaard!". And all they're looking at is just CrunchBang on our school workstations. So to prevent the moaning, I linked "about".

Re: Propaganda
Thank you Gekko, nice review, mille gracie :) And I must say, on a side note, google Translate does a good job.

thanks for the nice review Gekko!
All statements are true in some sense, false in some sense, meaningless in some sense, true and false in some sense, true and meaningless in some sense, false and meaningless in some sense, and true and false and meaningless in some sense.
Re: Propaganda
Nothing to report ... but haven't really been looking. Well perhaps outside of the #! forum. If come across misguided stupidness referencing the NixQ. Either just bash said misguided nixer ( if they're misguided-tarded enough to warrant a bashing), or more likely most times shake head and get on with life, shrugs.
Just posted to say the Hitler thing n nix never gets old. ie: The hitler n da high command having a meeting about Gnome3 on youtube vid there. Laughed so hard, almost urinated upon meself. :P
Vllbbq!

Re: Propaganda
Very nice Gekko. Thank Dog that I speak two Romanic languages and could understand the whole review. :)
Re: Propaganda
Nice write-up Gekko ... I read it through imTranslator. A beautiful testament to the people here who have put time and effort into LBBQ. KIDOS!

Re: Propaganda
^^ I think they like it....hard to tell, my Russian isn't very good, and Google Translate is not exactly helpful. If I gather the whole of it, they say: "Them Offensive Bastards make the lightning fast Debian, and I believe they write their own browser. Good for slow computer, updating is scary. LinuxBBQ fellows do what people want."
Also, the final comment: "In general, the system is not yet understood, but I agree - an interesting solution."

Re: Propaganda
Yup, the comment is about the (old) "cookbook" browser that opens only one page and has no addressbar or buttons. It was used to look up youtube, google maps, wikipedia and our cookbook. The Chinese BBQ version (520) opened Chinese services instead. :)

Re: Propaganda
Very cool, and thanks for the clarification on what was being said.

Re: Propaganda
As far as I can tell, my Slavic brothers liked it a lot, especially the first comments.
Edit: Forgot one interesting comment from the OP, he said that LinuxBBQ is not like WattOS that just changed the wallpaper on top of Lubuntu. I have no idea about the statement, I do not even know anymore on what WattOS is based. He basically compares Trollinger as an LXDE distro to others and espcially to Lubuntu of course.
