Yeah I wanted to write them already and tell them we are a Mongolian distro. Which is also true.

(and hey, we absolutely do NOT want to be on distrowatch -> http://linuxbbq.org/wiki/index.php/Distrowatch)

Well the BBQ @distrowatch is cool in an ironic way. Who really cares? distrowatch is bs anyway. :)

Yup, Mongolian, that means that they have to add a new entry to their database, which won't happen :D
Too much "work" for them :o

Ps: Why not say that the distro and the server is from the Antarctic, so the penguins get some credit :D

we could throw some slogans like "The Grill approves of Tengrism but Genghis is just the RMS of the dark ages" or 'free as in rape and pillage' :-)

I actually found you guys first when I was trolling the random button at distrowatch, lols! I used to go there just to find distros that were different. Then they became my goto when I had to sign in to an open wifi network, lols.
I still use them for signing in to open networks, but I rarely check them out, anymore.
Like I said, I used to be a rabid distro-junky! They were like the big box dealer on the block, lols!

Not our plan. And why not being a Chinese distro? Let's be proud of it.

To all ignorant motherfuckers out there, STFU and GTFO.

This makes my heart melt - a Hungarian review from a guy who definitely understood what our little grill is about.
Their website actually looks quite thoughtful, like a DOS program screen. Brings up some feeling of nostalgia in the people. Makes me want to play some good old games. I will do so in a moment.
Good to see that there are still people who don't force bling-bling. [...] Quote from another forum: "If one of you feels bored I recommend to take a look at LinuxBBQ." Minimalism until the nose bleeds. [...] 99% of the younger generation won't be able to pick up girls by using this OS. But for the remaining 1% (like me) it is contagious. After a while you will grow a beard and wears socks and sandals. [...] I should add that this is not for beginners, but they say it on their website too. It can also be seen on the screenshots. This is something for those who want to fine-tune everything to the last detail. Everything according to ones own wish. So, only try this if you are a "time millionaire". (Actually I like the stuff that is written on their website and the way they present their ideas. [... short translation of the BBQ philosophy ...]
Xplosive, ha ezt latod -- koszi szepen, nagyon jot tesz ilyeneket is olvasni!

Nice to see :) A few months ago I discovered this place.. As a reader of K.Mandla blogs this was something I was looking for.. Do more with less. You can make simple things easy and even look pretty. Programming or getting the job done with smart script is more a state of art than script something with hundreds of megabytes for getting the job done. So compliments for the guy who wrote that, at least he's not blinded by bloat.

Agreed! Nice to see someone who isn't all frazzled that their install didn't come with Fireweasel, gedit, and VLC.
