[SOLVED] errors in processing live-config-systemd

Unread post by dkeg » Wed Feb 13, 2013 1:49 pm

Yes, its solved, but wanted to share in case others experience. FWIW I'm on Kielbasa 3.7-7.towo-siduction-amd64

What I don't remember if it came with the 3.7-7 or before. Sorry.

Been getting this the last few days, maybe a week. Didn't worry much about it, but my curiosity won and was curious what was going on. Seems I wouldn't need any live-config files if I'm installed and nut running off a live-cd. Anyway here is what I was getting.

Code: Select all

2 not fully installed or removed.
After this operation, 0 B of additional disk space will be used.
Do you want to continue [Y/n]? y
Setting up live-config-systemd (3.0.19-1) ...
Failed to issue method call: Invalid argument
dpkg: error processing live-config-systemd (--configure):
subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1
dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of live-config:
 live-config depends on live-config-sysvinit | live-config-backend; however:
  Package live-config-sysvinit is not installed.
  Package live-config-backend is not installed.
Package live-config-sysvinit which provides live-config-backend is not installed.
Package live-config-systemd which provides live-config-backend is not configured yet.

dpkg: error processing live-config (--configure):
 dependency problems - leaving unconfigured
Errors were encountered while processing:
 live-config-systemd
 live-config
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
A little duckduckgo showed me this

Bug#617790: marked as done (live-config: fails to purge)

So I did a simple-purge. Seems to have done the trick.

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get purge live-config live-config-systemd

Work hard; Complain less
