fair enough. ubuntu always has /boot getting full

^ That is something I somehow never experienced but then I did not use Ubuntu long enough back in the day.
On sid I guess I would still prefer not getting older kernels autoremoved by default, especially from one major version to another. On stable I could not care less as you only stay on one version with all its fixes and there it makes even sense, backports not included.
was for that I thought. Even doing dist-upgrades will show you packages you could remove with that command if you wanted and Siduction as far as I know discourages the use of autoremove. I always used it after every dist-upgrade on sid to remove all the cruft but
I decided not some Debian policy.

I have recently appreciated that older kernels stick around - never had the need before.
not too hard to load in a different one if one really needs.
