apt GPG error

Unread post by o.g. » Mon May 13, 2013 12:53 pm

Hello

I did not upgrade to the latest (0.9.8) version of apt, so I freeze apt and grub2 to upgrade.
I had some errors messages with the command apt-get update

Code: Select all

/usr/lib/apt/methods/gpgv: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/apt/methods/gpgv: undefined symbol: _ZN9SigVerify7RunGPGVERKSsS1_RKiPi
(...)
W: Erreur de GPG : http://... Release : Erreur inconnue à l'exécution de gpgv
I seems to be related to the signature of the packages. Perhaps it is not important, but I prefer to
downgrade libapt-inst1.5=0.9.7.8, libapt-pkg4.12=0.9.7.8 apt-utils=0.9.7.8.

I did not seem to have any issues upgrading to apt 0.9.8

reading this post I double checked my apt -v and indeed at 0.9.8

Work hard; Complain less

To be more precise, I had GPG problem with apt 0.9.7.8 (not the latest version) together with libapt 0.9.8.
