Little transition of LXDE packages
Just be aware that LXDE is getting some newer versions into Sid, it can be bumpy.
Looky.
Post back if you encounter more problems.

Re: Little transition of LXDE packages
A huge thanks to the siduction team and of course to you, DD, for posting this.
The next time this will be bumpy is when they move razorqt ;)

Yep, and I heard it won't be backwards compatible, so we will have breakage for breakfast.machinebacon wrote: The next time this will be bumpy is when they move razorqt ;)

Re: Little transition of LXDE packages
Hm, though I really wanted to make a test release of LXDE-qt as soon as pussybear. Guess the only sane way will be by compiling from source and removing the razorqt repos and putting stuff on hold. Nah, too much hassle, I think. Better give some obscure WMs a remix.

Re: Little transition of LXDE packages
I wish OpenBox (and by default LXDE) would handle dual-head better :(
I suppose I could replace OpenBox in LXDE with Metacity or xfwm4. (maybe with some re-married roast?)

Re: Little transition of LXDE packages
Lxpanel will be held back on a pure Sid system, that means that you should wait with the d-u until the package is installable. Otherwise you will have a "half broken" LXDE system with no panel.
But if you force an install of the newer lxpanel 0.5.12-2 it will remove important LXDE packages like e.g. pcmanfm, that is certainly not what we want.
In other words Debian will fuck with you at this point.
Solution: Wait with the upgrade until lxpanel is installable.
Or
you have already Siduction repos added and that's it, they fixed it already with all the new shiny LXDE stuff. Debian proper lacks at the moment a newer pcmanfm e.g. and just upgrades lxsession.

Re: Little transition of LXDE packages
I might add, it's the siduction fixes repo that does the good stuff here. Thanks Dave!
