Recently when you edit your music tags with ncmpcpp you will have garbled output, boxes that look like Chinese after saving the changes. It seems you have to save the changes a second time and it will work. It is very annoying. So if you wondered, here it is:
https://github.com/taglib/taglib/issues/306
Edit: Btw, what is more annoying is that ncmpcpp is abandoned in Debian at the moment, there is also another bug since of the beginning of this year. The ncurses interface breaks:
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=725746
If you think somebody will fix it, forget it. Fuck you Debian!
[fixed] ncmpcpp with garbled tags

Re: ncmpcpp with garbled tags
I tried it but it lacks the tagger and some other things. I just love ncmpcpp. But maybe I will use it again in the meantime and use something else for tagging.
Re: ncmpcpp with garbled tags
ncmpcpp will probably be removed from the Debian repos because a suitable replacement exists in the form of Totem.

Re: ncmpcpp with garbled tags
Finally they fixed that problem. They even packaged a new beta version into Experimental.
