Retro screenshots
Post only very old scrots of yours. We all want to see how ugly, bloated and embarrassing your desktop looked like years ago. :)
I begin. The good old times with the classic real Gnome 2 desktop and fancy Compiz, OMG and look at the bloat on the top panel, though my Mate setup is very similar but more minimal visually.
Thank god Postimage has all my old scrots. :)

Re: Retro screenshots
@ivan You don't happen to know what GTK2 theme that is, do you? I don't particularly mind it :)
@wux It's a beauty /s Such a nice thing to be able to gauge from whence you came. I wish I had kept some of my earlier scrots; they were real facepalms.

Re: Retro screenshots
It was my first Gtk3 theme ever, Gnome 2 was in transition those days to Gnome 3 on Testing. Damn, I cannot remember the name but is on Dev Art.

DrC: you jest? it was running on this:

Re: Retro screenshots
^ Wow. That looked fun :) I meant no offense; it was quite a feat to be able to get Linux running on some of those old beasts. I am fortunate I started with Linux when I did; everything is so much easier to configure today...

Re: Retro screenshots
Well consider the bloat (conky, wbar), the memory usage wasn't that bad :P

Re: Retro screenshots
Nice one Frank! Mine was on an old P3 with Delicate Linux (fork of Deli Linux). There wasn't a JWM package, so I wrote a PKBUILD (which looks a bit like those from Arch). Some dependencies have different names and Delicate is using uClibc instead of glibc (which is sometimes a pain in the ****, but as I've been told.. it's a bit lighter).
