Propaganda
Re: Propaganda
^^ If the society contains that kind of people... I would call it a blessing :)
Re: Propaganda
wow, a bit of illiterate lavender hell, there. dude's either 13 years old, or a total fucking moron, or both.
just say "thanks, man"
Re: Propaganda
He doesn't get the point what's linuxbbq is about ;) Creating a pretty and useful desktop with less resources is much harder than create an even more bloated distro that already exist..

Or as we Hungarians say: az a szétrepesztett, darabokra baszott kurva anyád rohadjon bele, te tetves geci idiota fasz :)BBQ Linux & Linux BBQ A tale of two distros
These two distros have nothing in common except very similar names.
Linux BBQ is a live distro designed purely to enable you to test out different window
managers. In the latest version, there are 76 different window managers ready to try without
you needing to install anything. It’s a little hard to think of an occasion when you need 76
different window managers, but there is a bit of geek-pleasure to be had from finding exactly the
right one for you.
BBQ Linux, on the other hand, is a distribution built for Android developers, so it’s
got Android Studio, the Android SDK and a host of other apps. According to the project’s
website, it’s got everything you need to build an Android Open Source Project (ASOP)
distribution like Cyanogenmod, and it’s based on Arch with the Mate window manager.
There are a lot of Linux distributions, but when there are 600,000 words in the Oxford
English dictionary, you should be able to find something original for your software. There are,
no doubt, some slightly confused phone developers out there wondering why they have
to pick a window manager before working on their new app.
Linux BBQ and BBQ Linux provide a salutory warning to aspiring developers: check that the
intended name of your project isn’t already in use before you release it!

^ Lol brilliant meme :D
Someone told me that I am delusional, I almost fell off my unicorn.
Re: Propaganda
So when I chose to install it, I got it all wrong. Thank you for the wise words, linuxvoice.

All statements are true in some sense, false in some sense, meaningless in some sense, true and false in some sense, true and meaningless in some sense, false and meaningless in some sense, and true and false and meaningless in some sense.

Re: Propaganda
I don't think they're linux users until they reach a certain level of pedantry... So I can't see how anyone could be confused really... like saying mpg123 is better than mpg321... or was it the other way around :)

Re: Propaganda
^ wow, are we that popular? :D
anyway linuxbbq is older than bbq linux (by a few months), and anyway, these are no registered trademarks, we can call ourselves what we want.
agree @pedantry, that's really a linux disease.

Not sure how Distrobitch determines which BBQ releases to add to their list, but "Whacky" made it:

Re: Propaganda
Distrowatch says LinuxBBQ is made in China. I guess that's technically true, but probably doesn't help adoption. These days, anything made in China is assumed to be a backdoor with a router or OS built around it as a feature. Nice though, when people ask me what distro I run (and let's be honest, they don't ever) I'm going to start saying "It's some small distro out of China, I think it's safe enough."
