No posts were deleted. I moved a support question out of this thread into its own thread here: http://linuxbbq.org/bbs/viewtopic.php?f ... 732#p50732simgin wrote:Errhh what just happened, some posts were just deleted, I wanted to comment after Pidsley on page 2 but now, errh???
Maybe I should just ignore it, could be a server error.
Please don't ask support questions in the Release Notes section.

^ phew, thought something was acting up. Thank you for the clarification Pids :)
Someone told me that I am delusional, I almost fell off my unicorn.
Re: RYO: Greatest Hits (586) Release Notes
Funny thing: I took a break for a while from the grill, and in the meantime I somehow managed to make my own live system out of plain debian jessie netinstall, installing ceni by way of copying the deb port from an antiX server, installing from the regular repos the programs I use for teaching, then grabbing the deb of the refracta snapshot tool, and using that to make the iso (refractasnapshot replaced systemd with sysvinit for purposes of making the live system, which was fine with me). I don't know if anyone here would be interested in seeing the result (I'd have do a little editing to make it 'generic') -- it's just dwm from the repos, with gedit (don't laugh, I have reasons), feh, sxiv, evince (because I know it can handle my beamer presentations), and iceweasel -- but I learned a lot in the process of bashing it together. Had I checked back here in the last few weeks, I could have just used this RYO spin to make the same beast. I'll be checking it out anyway.
just say "thanks, man"

I can see how my post is unclear and strange. Sorry about that. Wux got my basic intent right.
