Re: Wux
I mean, windows is windows, does windows things just fine. I don't yet see it becoming a choice for devs. I mean if you know / need bash/ssh then you run linux. if you don't then you'll stick to putty or whatever.
I wonder if i can transport it over to another machine, it's eating 100+Gb of SSD doing not much

Re: Wux
bored on-call: Even though the white burns in the mornings I find it a bit easier to deal with and read in the day.
and tbh; most webpages are white, which is worse - having a nice dark screen (on high brightness) to work on then burn the eyes once you switch to a site to see your changes. And happily the still not reconfigured dmenu-desktop and dunst arn't too bad as black

Re: Wux
Unicode status bar... still not sure why there is NO FUCKING wifi symbol in unicode when I can frikking write in Bloody Ogham, or hieroglyphics :/
anyway nice to know it sort of can be done
I don't think it looks all that good to be really honest. the boring pipe '|' separators were pissing me off. The only decent ones, being some Tibetan or Ethiopian (maybe sudanese) punctuation screwed the bars formatting up.

Re: Wux
I'd reinstalled buster finally. very exciting and worthwhile thing to do - still on the old thinkpad X1, I like it and I don't think it's going to change anytime soon.
most excitinig is I'm not using my numix colours, baskerville https://xcolors.herokuapp.com/dl/baskerville-ivorylight doing the honours here. (I did make it bright white and dark black, can't see a bloody thing otherwise
