OK, not related to node.js, but fuck technology anyway. :)As software developers we tell ourselves we are using technology to improve the world, but by massively overengineering solutions on cloud platforms we are wasting time and squandering energy.

Re: /dev/null
haha,
node (just about running) on a port on a VM, apache has some conf proxying that from it's high user port to port 80, nginx terminating the SSL (LE) on the FW box, We haven't got caching on this one otherwise it might take another hop through varnish.

Oh the beauty of .profile.
Re: /dev/null
On the other end, the amount of "best of 2010-2019" lists entering my life these days is really becoming obnoxious.

Happy New Year! May 2020 be the year where May the 4th jokes die a beautiful death.
Re: /dev/null
Cheers for the new 2020! :)

Specifically for the tea-drinkers: how many cups of tea are too many?
(I feel like I asked this question already.)
Edit: yes, I did, and recently. I'm getting old.

I should really go to bed. Start work at 6 am tomorrow, that means that I have to get up at 4.30. No, just five minuts more...

Due to panic buying our shelves in the supermarkets are getting emptied before I even have time to buy stuff normally. People are such idiots.
Re: /dev/null
^ Much the same here. Absurd.
Re: /dev/null
Yeah people are crazy at the moment. Unfortunately a lot of people have "health agony", and now it brings out the worst in them. We all are born, we live, have a couple of flu´s, and in the end, we all die anyway. :)
Re: /dev/null
The world has turned covid - crazy. Still breathing here. :)
Re: /dev/null
Here too, but we are confined at home. Fortunately we can both work from here, so it's all going well for us at least. But it's getting crazy, like a George Romero's flick out there.
