Re: Italy
Fwiw, about a quarter of the techno/deep-rechno related stuff I posted in the electronica thread this year probably hails from Italy. Dozzy, Neel, VFTL and all their bastard offspring.
But I digress, here's some disco and funk from 1970/80's Napoli. So corny, yet so endearing; https://ngrecords.bandcamp.com/album/na ... reta-vol-1

After seeing Marnero live a while ago, I just can't get enough of these sounds: https://dischibervisti.bandcamp.com/alb ... el-rigetto

I'm getting old.

Re: Italy
Old-school hip-hop, because Italy had something to say with this genre too.
Sangue Misto: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LAReqQcv_ro
Colle der Fomento: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=niem5J8zUko
Neffa (before he left for silly music): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-nn6LPfwPR8
Melma & Merda: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=20_wS9fks4g
Kaos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZY0MU13IWmo
A random selection, of course. Just as with hardcore, Italy hides its best music in the underground.
This is all gone now, or at least there is no such thing as this kind of hip-hop any more.

Members of Concrete moved on to create Si Non Sedes Is and this record (along with a 12" split with Marnero, which is lovely too) is the last I heard of them.

Re: Italy
Wow. That sounds great.
Re: Italy
Saw them live last night. I was lucky enough to have earplugs, because they did quite tear down the whole place. I felt sorry for the guys in the audience who didn't know what to expect from them.GekkoP wrote: ↑Tue Nov 27, 2018 12:58 pmhttps://lleroy999.bandcamp.com/
Another great band discovered only recently. Dissipatio HC has been on heavy rotation for months.
More importantly, I was finally able to get my hands on the orange vinyl of Dissipatio HC.

Re: Italy
^ Sounds like a nice gig.
Re: Italy
^ Absolutely.
Well, you needed to know their music a bit to really enjoy it, because they played in a little room where the sound wasn't really great. Singer's and bass player's voices where hard to catch, and I was right in front of the singer/guitar player so I can imagine the ones in the back only heard noises.
However it's the kind of underground madness I still love to attend to sometimes. Audience supports these obscure bands, the band itself sells the records so you can talk to them before or after the gig (that's how I caught the bassist player and how I got the LP from her). It's an intimacy you don't get with big bands, therefore I don't care about the sound quality. The spirit is all that matters.

I still attend those concerts, even here in our small town. I know what you mean. A lot of CDs and LPs I buy from concerts when I am not shopping on Discogs. Even some Italian bands come here. The last one was Los Fastidios and they came two times. Just an example. We have a nice underground scene.
