Re: /dev/null
Welcome back!
Nah, it never quietened that much. We are still hanging out quite a lot, albeit fewer of us. ;)
As for Plasma 5. Nobody uses that around here, I am sure. :)
Maybe Wux likes to add it but it is not visible anyway under the username, so why bother.

Hi, very nice of you to pop in for a visit. Plasma...well I must confess that I am quite the ignorant when it comes to it. But I am pretty sure that it is cool for those who likes it. :)

^ Dig deeper and you'll discover terminals written in electron, and then you'll wish you were ignorant all over again.
Re: /dev/null
^Dug a tiny bit deeper. Realiesed that I prefer blissful ignorance.

yeah there is a level. It's like wallpapers on terminal - the more you work on it the more you want a fucking blank background minimal distractions.
if you want a fucking mental looking cool terminal then install https://github.com/Swordfish90/cool-retro-term and enjoy it.
I ran it at work for quite a long time, amber monochrome with a small ish font on a monitor. worked fine

Re: /dev/null
we have weekly zoom meeting - it's at the end of my shift and no-one does anything while it's on as we discuss shit. I'm half thinking if it's nice I might get in our boat and float about on the pond with a nice glass of something. The extended wifi just about reaches there. and I don't do shit while it's on. just nod and say 'yeah been working in tickets, migrations going ok for custX. just floating on ma pond here'
Probably might be a bit much though. I mean there are people in a flat in london with no-one where much to go
just a chair in the garden for starters perhaps

I wish I had a fucking balcony right now. Damn it. And the weather is getting nicer. We could go out to the patio but that is not really allowed as it is a public space.
Re: /dev/null
I've never thought I'd miss the gym so much.
Re: /dev/null
Stay strong guys and let us hope there soon will be a change for the better. :)

I actually miss some of my friends even though many times I was avoiding them.

Re: /dev/null
Everyone's (as in governments/countries, not individual people) stealing masks and medical equipment from each other now. I guess helping others in times of crisis is a bit difficult when everyone is in a fucking crisis. Sounds like a plot for a Guy Ritchie* flick.
The old Guy Ritchie, I mean. The good one, before Madonna ruined him (like she ruins everything she puts her hands on).

Re: /dev/null
^ Give us a review in due time. It's supposed to be LTS, so I'm assuming they won't be prioritizing Wayland? If that's the case then it's a bit of a shame since Firefox-Wayland (at least in Fedora) now finally supports GPU acceleration. Also let us know how bad the snap infestation is nowadays, and how many decades it takes to launch the calculator. Did the WireGuard kernel modules make it into this LTS kernel version? Does it include the Gnome version that finally allows users to set the shell font to match everything else? Does it Djent?

Re: /dev/null
I probably do not need an in-depth review like Gutterslob :D but it would be nice to know how good it runs nowadays. At the moment I have no plans to play with it.
Re: /dev/null
I haven't had the chance to play with it yet, but:
- it includes GNOME 3.36
- as in 18.04, I'll remove snapd right after the installation (I have a set of Ansible Playbooks to set up what I need from Ubuntu and GNOME)
- calculator? I do my calculation in Emacs, man! But I will check that for you
- sorry, I don't have a clue about WireGuard
Later today I'll give it a run, but I'm pretty sure it'll take a while for Ansible to install and set up everything.
