Re: Movies, Flicks, Films, Videos, cinematography
^ sad but true, and more herbie hancock is always nice.
how do you feel about Blow Up? famously sampled by dee-licious? My old man got "jammin' with herbie" in some Amsterdam market many moons ago, and I love it, on a deep dive I found the blow up extra sessions are also the same as Art Pepper and Donald Byrd, like this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CmW_iRcs3D0
Which features Herbie Hancock.

It is on my list since I saw that it will be available on Netflix.

Any opinions on Eric Andre? I have his latest show and Bad Trip. He's supposed to be funny, but I'm always picky when it comes to comedy.
Re: Movies, Flicks, Films, Videos, cinematography
^ After 15 minutes of his Netflix show, let me answer to myself: not my kind of fun.

You're right: it's hit and miss with comedy. I laugh hard with James Acaster, I don't get Eric Andre. Shit happens.

Southland Tales
Heard Kelly is back on this for good (4K restoration and other goodies), so I revisited it. The Cannes cut, that is, not the theatrical cut. This is by no means a masterpiece, but Kelly was onto something and I've always hoped he could push his vision further. Instead he has pretty much lived in the shadows for a long while.

I enjoyed Gangs of Wasseypur a lot. It is an Indian movie but not the typical Bollywood shit even though it also had music but cool one.
It has a Tarantino vibe mixed with The Godfather.

You Don't Nomi
The Showgirls lover doesn't need this. The others may give it a try to understand how great the film is.

Watched "Seven years in Tibet" the other day. Not the proudest moment for Brad. :D
Re: Movies, Flicks, Films, Videos, cinematography
Watched "La Grande Bellezza" this weekend. The small screen did not do it justice, it wold have been beautiful in cinema.
Also "The Invention of Lying", it had a couple of moments. A film that did not have that, but which I watched anyway was "Churchill", do not bother. Watch the other about him, which name escapes me right now. :|

One interesting recent viewing: Barbara by Mathieu Amalric.
I know nothing about the French singer Barbara, but this film sure made me want to dig more.

We watched The Square. A Danish movie. It was bizarre but interesting. Though the action took place in Sweden.
