Happy Birthday, Grill!
In July 2012 we made the split, and in September the first BBQ release rolled out, named Pihtije/Disznosajt. 100 remixes later the grill celebrates its first birthday, with many new and old friends on board, been together in good and bad times. Thank you for that!
Personally, I would like to thank (in no particular order and - of course i can't post each of the 170+ names we have on board -- just as they spring to mind) all those who have helped the BBQ to be where it is: pidsley for his expertise wrt to testing and wms, rhosey for the docs and the wiki, ivanov for the upgrade warnings and tobacco talk, debjoe for his howtos and coding, wux for breaking shit and fixing it :), titan for managing the sewage (IRC), vic for always having a nice word for everyone (thank you really), seabiscuit for his babblings (i do actually read them!), dkeg for bravely testing, mikey for spreading the word, and of course those who come here to post their configs, scripts, artwork, or about what happens IRL even if they have no meat on their PCs, you're the reason the BBQ is still alive and rocking (yesh, be excellent to each other, or eggsalad, whatever)
any changes for the 2013-2014 "season"(ing)? yes yes and yes:
- there'll be of course debian sid-based spins, though not as many as before
- there'll be a new base, namely Ubuntu, with something that the brown/purple/orange brothers didn't produce yet -- surprise!
- a new user config/artwork repository which lets you share and test configs of others
so, happy birthday everyone, and THANK YOU!

Congratulations all.
I thought I'd seen it all. Then I found the BBQ. Now I wonder if there's something even more messed up out there. Probably not. So I'll just stay.

Happy Birthday BBQ:
Also, I'd like to add an additional thanks to Baconator for his endlessly releasing one insane spin after the other, and promoting the kind of insanity that takes place around here. Regardless of how horrible an idea those of us here may have, he's always proven to be the first to say "That sounds cool." Thanks most of all for that. Opening the doors to the asylum and just seeing what happens, it's what makes this one of the more interesting places in Linuxland. Thanks for that.

Happy birthday to the grill, and thank you Jules for laying down the brickwork for all of this wonderful madness! This is truly a Linux forum without equal!

Re: Happy Birthday, Grill!
what a great bunch of users!
I wish to express my gratitude to able to hang out, not that you have a lot of choice, with you guys!
This is a really cool place to hang and rant and indeed break shit down, fix a few things along the way.
I feel I've come a long way in one year, from 0.1 to 0.3 on a scale of 1 to 10 8D

Re: Happy Birthday, Grill!
Wow. It's been a year already?
It seems like only yesterday you had a single wee potato wrapped in foil. Now you've got all sorts of meat and sauces in your harem, Bacon.
Amazing how a small group of drunk hiccuping linuxvestites evolved into an entire civilization. It must have been preordained in the Akashic Records or something.
Let's have a group hug, everyone. Oooh, is that Rho's juicy toosh I'm feeling there? Yum~
